An Open Letter to the 2017-2018 Liverpool Team

I don't even care if we lose in the Champions League. I don't care if Roma somehow scores three goals to beat us, and I wouldn't even care if we beat Roma and then end up losing in the Final to Christiano and Real Madrid . We've had one hell of a season. A season with ups and downs on and off the field. But here we are. Up by three goals against a Roma side that can't figure out how to defend us when Mo Salah is on the field. Fresh off of an absolutely dominating performance against the "Best Team in Europe" (sorry Pep), and positioned to be in the Champions League again next year by being in 3rd place in the EPL table. As a fan, this has been a true privilege to witness the show that Klopp and his team have put on this year. This is why I want to write this open letter to the whole Liverpool squad for the 2017-2018 year.

Dear Liverpool,

Thank you. I've never been a dad (at least I think), but I imagine this is what a dad would feel when he sees his offspring do something remarkable. And since I'm the father in this letter, I can choose my favorite child. My favorite child of course is Mohamed Salah. Oh, Mohamed, how long i've waited for someone like you, since our Uruguayan striker left us to play with Messi down in Barcelona. Thank you for not being a douchebag off the field, for not getting injured a lot, and thank for scoring an ungodly amount of goals for our club. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, you are my favorite child.

Jurgen Klopp, don't ever change. Single minded people are the one's who change the world. Your style of rock & roll football is not only entertaining to watch, but emotionally draining. I wouldn't have it any other way. I love how you genuinely love your players, and how you celebrate unlike any other manager in the world. I hope Liverpool can keep you as our manager forever.

To the rest of the team, Ox, Hendo, Mane, Firmino, Robertson, Van Dijk & Lovren and Trent Alexander, you guys are the unsung heroes of English football! All of the attention goes to Salah and your manager Klopp, but without you guys hustling your hearts out every game, we wouldn't have the rock & roll football that everyone loves to see.
